This weekend I will be going on a Women's Retreat w/47 other ladies from church. I am super excited, but a little nervous to leave Gloria Grace for the whole weekend. She's been taking a lot more steps, and has even stood up by herself in the middle of the floor & taken some steps. She'll probably be walking/running all over the place when I get home Sunday.
I guess I'm going to take this as preparation for the week I will be gone to Mexico, which is only 2 short weeks away. I remember the 1st time I went to Mexico--September 2005--I had not been away from the boys for more than overnight! Coy was 6, and Seth 2½. I was a nervous wreck to call home. I wanted to talk to them, but I was afraid we'd all start crying and I'd have to buy a ticket & come home early :)
God provided-- We were just across the border in Nuevo Laredo, and we could pick up the US cell signal from our room in the church. I was able to call, and talk as long as I needed to. The best part was--NO ONE cried :) The boys did so well--even Tim ;)
I've wondered if Tim wishes he hadn't done so well that 1st trip, as I have been to Mexico 8 times. I'm blessed to be able to go again in 2 weeks, and in July Tim & Coy will be coming along for their 1st missions trip!
We are blessed!!!
Never a dull moment. Always something happening. The Good. The Bad. The Ugly. All of it together is What We Are Here For . . .

6 Month Post-Placement---Already?!?!
Seth turned 8 on January 17th, and had a total of 3 celebrations. This is a picture from the 3rd celebration. We went ice skating with friends:
January 27th, Tim celebrated his 41st birthday. His parents & my parents came over for fruit salad. Tim decided he'd had enough cake @ Seth's 3 celebrations :)
I've been so caught up in birthday business that 6 months came & went without me realizing it! I got an email from our social worker the other day reminding me it was time to do another post-placement visit....What? I thought, post-placement visit....we just did that. Well it seems like we just did it :) Then I realized that January 19th marked 6 months, since Gloria Grace was placed in my arms! Oh what a sweet day July 19, 2010 was for our family, and we are currently living "happily ever after."
Next Saturday is Gloria Grace's 1st birthday. We are going to celebrate with family & friends with pizza & cake @ our church.
Sunday after church we will have our second post-placement visit, and send pictures of our sweet daughter to our agency. I think there are 2 more visits after this one.
Here is Gloria Grace modeling her birthday outfit. This is one of the pictures I'll probably send in :)

I ♥ Tim Watson :)
15 Years ago I was standing in front of friends & family saying "I do." I truly had no idea what I was saying "I do" to, but I am so glad I did. :) I am thankful for the man God has given me. I love you Tim Watson.

¡Feliz CumpleaƱos Mi Esposo!
Happy Birthday Tim!!
I just want to say how much I love this guy. I met Tim in the summer of 1990. He worked w/my sister. One night I was out w/my sister in Smyrna, and she saw Tim's car. We pulled in to the Pizza Hut parking lot. He got out of his car, and I thought Wow--that guy is tall :o) & kind of cute. We had our first date August 10th, 1990, much to my mothers dismay--Tim was 20 & I was 16. I fell in head over heals--I was love sick.
Here we are going on 19 years later. We are stronger & more love sick than ever. I am grateful that God picked such a perfect man for me.
I Love you Tim. Happy Birthday.

13 Years Ago Today. . .
I find it wild to think that 13 years ago today I was preparing to marry my soul mate. It has been such a wonderful 13 years. Sometimes it seems so much longer, because I was just 16 when my sister introduced me to Tim & we started dating. We've been together ever since. I thank God for Tim. He is a wonderful husband & dad. In fact he has taken the boys on a 6 day father/son camping trip. Happy Anniversary, I love you Tim.

Since My Last Post . . .
Tim & I went on our Chattanooga get away. It was fabulous. We had such a great time. We were able to eat what & when we wanted. Take our time seeing things. Sleep in. We got there late Thursday afternoon. We ate at Sticky Fingers-- Tim's favorite Chattanooga restaurant :0) We found our hotel, checked in, and headed for downtown. We went to the Aquarium, and checked out the riverside. The weather was beautiful. I had wanted to go to this murder mystery dinner thing, but we were still stuffed from the 20 wings, and cheddar fries we shared :-) We ended up going to see Rendition. Then we ate at Big River. It was 10:00. We never eat supper at 10:00-- but we could so we did :-)
Friday we were going to do all the Chattanooga sites the Incline Railway, Rock City, and Ruby Falls. After Rock City and Ruby Falls, we were ready for a nap. :-) So we went back to the hotel & took a nap. Well I slept. Tim watched TV. Friday night we went on the Southern Belle dinner cruise. It was nice, too. Good food, good music, straight up good times :0)
Saturday we slept a little later than usual. Had a really nice FREE breakfast --make your own waffles -- at the hotel. We got checked out, and headed back downtown. They were having a rowing event. There were 5000 rowers, and all their friends. It was kind of neat to check out the happenings, but we didn't stay down in the crowd too long. We went on to the incline railway, since we had purchased our tickets as a package deal. It was pretty neat, too.
My favorite of all the places was Rock City. We've been there before, but it has been a while. We actually went there on our honeymoon 12 years ago. It is really a beautiful place. It renews my awe for God's power & creativity.
Then . . .
Back to reality :0)
We arrived home late Saturday afternoon, and picked the boys up from my mom's house. They were actually not too bad until Sunday evening. I was trying to take my nap & watch the football game, as I usually do because I work Sunday night shift. Seth came into the house very upset at his brother. I am not going to embarrass him by going into the details of the story, but Coy was not very nice at all. He got himself grounded for the entire week from TV, computer, and video games--he can't even use his mp3. Then, he goes and gets in a fight w/one of the neighbors yesterday off the bus. So to add to his grounding he is not allowed to play w/anyone all week, and is going to bed at 7:30. Yikes I am at my wits end w/him. I keep trying to remind myself that "this too shall pass" I just wonder what's next. It is hard for me not to get pessimistic, when he acts this way. I am hopeful that after a week of tough love he'll figure some things out. I'd appreciate your prayers.
I'm going to try to post pictures from Chattanooga tomorrow. Until then . . . Happy Blogging :0)
