We Will Miss You Lou

Our last family photo with Lourdes
You are always welcome home Lourdes
Lourdes had a lot of stuff :o)
We just returned home from taking Lourdes to the airport. What indescribable emotions. I was very close to the ugly cry, but thankfully was able to keep it back just enough. It has been such an amazing 10 months. God matched us perfectly. (Dare I doubt that he wouldn't have?) We have been blessed beyond measure to have had this experience.

If anyone is even considering hosting a student, my advice would be pray & If God is calling you to it. . . DO IT!!

Please pray for Lourdes today, as she will be traveling 14+ hours to meet her mother, and then another 6 hours to drive home from the airport.
Please pray for us as we transition back to a family of 4 (for what will hopefully be a very short time).

I Love The Ways God Speaks To Me...

I decided to wear my very special limited edition Adopted T-shirt this morning. I wanted to make sure I knew the exact wording on the bible verse. You know, I didn't want someone to say what's up w/that--you weren't adopted. Oh, but I am... into the family of Jesus Christ. So, during my quiet time, I looked up Ephesians 1:5 & read on to verse 6--
"he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will--(vs 6) to the praise of his
GLORIOUS GRACE, which he has freely given us in the One he loves."

I am totally in love with my Lord & Savior. He feeds me everyday.

Our journey began 1 year ago. You can see the post here. It has been quite a year, and I can not wait to see what God has in store for us in the next few months.

In December, we began referring to our little girl as G.G. We didn't know how old she would be, and she may already be used to her given name. Now that we have been accepted by the private orphanage, we expect G. G. to be under 36 months. One night, after we found out we could possibly travel this year, I woke around 1:00 in the morning, and could not go to back to sleep. I started trying to think of a name that would go along w/the initials G.G. We have decided to call her. . .

Gloria Grace :o)
Don't you just love the name? I do. Gloria is my mother's 1st name. Gloria means Glory in Spanish, and it is only by God's Grace that we are on this journey.
Thank you all for continuing to pray for our family, and Gloria Grace.
