I leave for Mexico in the morning, so we did our Easter egg coloring & hunting early. I gave the boys their baskets today, too. I am feeling a little emotionally/spiritually weird. For a moment I felt slightly sad that my boys no longer believe in the Easter bunny. Then I began to think about the true reason to celebrate Easter. Our Risen Savior!!! I really am glad the Easter bunny has been outed :o) I want my boys to know, and believe in the Truth. Some things of this world are fun to do, but I am glad now to focus the rest of Easter on Jesus.

Again, I am excited/sad about this Missions trip. I will be spending my 1st holiday away from Tim & the boys. That makes me a little sad, but then I think about God's timing of this trip. When the plans were made a year ago for our return date this year, no one realized that we would be there over Easter. God knew & I can't wait to see His plan in action.
I ask you all to pray for our Missions trip. Overall please pray for those we will meet for God to open/soften their hearts to Him.

Here are plans & daily prayer requests for the next week:
Saturday 4/11:
We leave in the morning from the church @ 3:30am to catch our 1st of 3 flights @ 6:00am. We will arrive in Vera Cruz around 8:00pm. Please pray all flights are on time, we have safe travel, and all luggage arrives. (All of the medical/dental supplies are in the luggage). We will be spending the night in a hotel close to the airport.

Sunday 4/12:
We will travel by van 5 hours to Cerro Grande. This is the "base" church. We will be sleeping there, and our clinic day Thursday will be @ this location.

Monday 4/13-Thursday 4/16:
We will set up our medical/dental clinic in area churches. I would ask that especially Monday that you would please pray for me. I always feel completely out of my comfort zone in "playing" doctor. Usually I have my best friend that plays the role of lead doctor, and I have time to get comfortable. I will be the only nurse this trip.
On Thursday, Rick & another of our team members will be traveling to a different area of Mexico to check out the possibility of going there in October. Please pray for their safety.

Friday 4/17:
We travel back by van the 5 hours to Vera Cruz. We will again spend the night in a hotel.

Saturday 4/18:
We leave Vera Cruz @6:30am & arrive in Nashville @ 3:25pm

Let everything we say & do bring glory to Our Risen Savior!!

How exciting! I didn't know you were going to Mexico for a missions trip. Those are ALWAYS the most amazing times when you see God move. I'll pray for your safety and smooth travels for the way home. Can't wait to hear how it went. Blessings! Linda
