My Boys Today

Seth got his first tooth when he was just 3 months old. He turned 6 in January, and was yet to loose a tooth. The other day he said look at this thing in my mouth. It was a permanent tooth. It had grown in right behind the baby tooth. I called the dentist to ask about it, and they wanted to "look" at it. I asked them did they think they would pull it, and they said no. Guess what--Seth lost his first tooth today- The dentist pulled it. . .
He's holding the tooth in his hand:
They gave him this little treasure box to put it in:
He's so cute:
Now on to Coy. He got up this morning not feeling well. He complained of a "sore throat." He was not running a fever, and he's had a tough week @ school, so I really thought he was just faking it to stay home from school. By 10:30 he was complaining of severe belly pain---this is how he reacts to strep throat. Tim took him to the walk in clinic, because I was in the middle of small group. Sure enough. . . he has strep. Doesn't he look pitiful:

It Is Out Of My Hands. . . Literally :o)

Today I sent all of our Dossier Documents (except the I179C) to our case worker @ Gladney. I can not begin to tell you how that makes me feel. Unless you've "been there, done that" you would probably not really understand the full emotion of it. These papers are not just any ordinary papers!! I was making copies of them, before I sent them, and my hand were shaking. It's crazy!! I am so excited to have this part of the journey so close to being complete!! We are now just waiting on one document--the I179C. This comes from the USCIS. It usually takes around 8 weeks. That would have us hopefully having it by the end of March. Once we have it, we will be ready to send all of our stuff to Colombia. Then, the "real wait" begins for our referral. They recently changed the wait time from 24-30months to 36 months. God's timing is perfect, and I will wait knowing that truth.

Thank you for praying with us in this journey to G.G.

That Was Scary. . .

We got Sonic after Coy's basketball game. We were stopped @ a red light, and I hear Coy in the back seat making a "funny" noise. He does this sort of noise often while he is eating, because he is wearing an orthodontic appliance. Anyway, It was louder than usual, and being the patient mom I am :oP I turned around to tell him to knock it off. As I turned around I saw "the look" in his eyes. That somebody do something look. He was choking on his Sonic burrito!!! I threw the car in park, in the middle of the road. (We were stopped anyway, and there was a car in front of us--I could not pull over.) I pulled him out of the back seat, and he threw up what he was choking on in the road. No heimlich needed, but I was fully prepared.

So, if you saw some crazy people standing in the middle of Sam Ridley, yeah that was us.

He's fine, and suddenly no longer hungry.

Only One More Piece of Paper :o)

We now have everything we need for our dossier, except for the I-797C. This last form comes from the USCIS. Friday we go for our biometrics appointment at the USCIS. Biometrics is a fancy word for fingerprinting. This will be our second fingerprinting for this process. We've already had an FBI Clearance, but they definitely don't stop at simple. :o) We hope to have the I-797C within the next 8 weeks, and then we will send our dossier to Colombia :o) :o) :o)

Once we actually send our dossier, that is when our "wait" begins :o) I am sooooooooooo ready for the wait :0)

I can't believe that we are this close to "the wait." I remind myself more than daily that God's timing is perfect, and He will sustain us through this journey. I am so grateful for this journey.

Thank you for praying for GG :o)
