Ok. I feel kind of bad for not having posted in a while. I know that Lourdes' family is checking in on her/us via this blog, so I am going to try to do much better. We are camping this weekend, so I should have some pictures first of next week.
Life has been busy. (Isn't it always?)
Trying to get back into the routine of school has been a little stressful. Both boys are doing well, but both are looking forward to a long weekend break :o)
Lourdes is doing great in school. She made a 105 on her first test (Calculus). I don't see school being any problem for her :o) It was fun explaining the extra 5 points over 100. Apparently there is not extra credit in Spain :o)
She got to go to her first high school football game last night. She said she had fun. She is making lots of friends @ church, and that makes me very happy.
She has been here 1 month today :o) Time is already flying by. I know her family probably misses her dearly, because we love having her here. I know that we will miss her when she goes home next spring.
Today is Tim's last day @ Nissan. He'll be taking a break from working outside the home for a little bit. He's going to try his hand @ "Mr. Mom" It should be pretty interesting :o) Pray for Us.
We took advantage of a great deal on an Altima, before Tim left. I got a new 2008, for 1/2 price. My van was doing ok, but I wasn't sure it would hold up for too much longer. We'd heard the deals were great, so we went to check it out. I love the smell of a new car--- It's much better than the dirty locker socks my van smelled like, after it rained :oP
Well I guess I better finish getting ready for camping.
Never a dull moment. Always something happening. The Good. The Bad. The Ugly. All of it together is What We Are Here For . . .

School Days. . .
As most of you know, Monday was the first full day of school. They phase in the kindergartners, so Seth didn't get to go until today. All week he has been saying it was not fair that Coy gets to go, but he doesn't. We'll see how he feels about that in a few weeks :o)
Here is Coy on his first day of 3rd grade (Monday):
Seth on his first day of kindergarten aka--"big school" this morning:
Boy my house is quiet :o) :o) :o) :o) :o) :o)

Never Argue With A Woman :o)
A friend sent me this via email. I thought it was quite funny:
One morning the husband returns after several hours of fishing and decides to take a nap. Although not familiar with the lake, the wife decides to take the boat out. She motors out a short distance, anchors, and reads her book. Along comes a Game Warden in his boat. He pulls up alongside the woman and says, "Good morning, Ma'am. What are you doing?" "Reading a book," she replies, (thinking, "Isn't that obvious?") "You're in a Restricted Fishing Area," he informs her "I'm sorry, officer, but I'm not fishing. I'm reading" "Yes, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at any moment. I'll have to take you in and write you up." "For reading a book," she replies, "You're in a Restricted Fishing Area," he informs her again, "I'm sorry, officer, but I'm not fishing. I'm reading" "Yes, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at any moment. I'll have to take you in and write you up." "If you do that, I'll have to charge you with sexual assault," says the woman. "But I haven't even touched you," says the game warden. "That's true, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at any moment." "Have a nice day ma'am," and he left.
MORAL: Never argue with a woman who reads. It's likely she can also think. Send this to four women who are thinkers. If you receive this, you know you're intelligent.

Adoption
Really thinking about our adoption this morning.
We have had so much going on, since Lourdes arrived. Tim is not sure what date, but he will be taking the buyout from Nissan. This has put a kink in the paperwork, but also revamped it. I need to get everything done, before he leaves Nissan. I have almost everything--well @ least I think I do. There is soooooooooo much I don't yet know if I am doing right. Meeting w/our social worker this week to go over what I have together so far. All that blah. . . paperwork. . . blah being said. . .
I am really starting to think about HER. She could be born right now. I have really been praying for her, her birth family, her caregivers, her needs. I am also thanking God. Thanking Him for the wonderful peace that only He can give, because of that I am able to enjoy this season of life.

Such a Fun Day Today. . .
This is a little tradition we started, when Coy was 4. On his birthday I made him pancakes that spelled his name & had his new age. Next year will be double digits :o)
After blueberry birthday pancakes I took Lourdes to her new high school, for registration.
GO BULLDOGS! ! !
Then we headed on to Coy's birthday hangout of choice--Chuck-e-cheese :o)
We got to play w/Emily. :o) :o) :o)
Coy & Em hit the "jackpot" twice, and shared tickets w/Seth :o)
We went swimming @ Emily's house & then had birthday cake.
Coy picked out carrot cake, yummy.
Coy was having so much fun w/Em, he didn't want to come home. So he's spending the night @ her house.
This is just a cute picture of Seth & Brownie:
I hope everyone has had as fun & nice a day as we have :o)
Goodnight.

Fun Times ! ! !
Lourdes got here last Tuesday, and we've had her going non-stop ever since. We've been to church, swimming @ Grandmas, and this weekend we went camping @ BeechBend, in Kentucky. The boys are loving having Lourdes around. She is Super Sweet. Here are a few pics. of our adventures. . .
