Memorial Day Weekend 2008

It has become tradition to spend Memorial Day Weekend @ Barren River State Resort Campground. It is is Lucas KY, which is about 10 minutes this side of Glasgow. We had wonderful weather & enjoyed our new camper. It was my first time in it, Tim & the boys second. He took them camping/4 wheeling last weekend in Waynesboro.

There is a lot to do @ Barren River. They have lots of activities, a beach, a pool, horseback riding. The water in the pool & at the beach was freezing, but the boys got in anyway. There's a "pottery guy" that comes every year. Coy & I made pots, but Seth didn't want to. We went horseback riding, and Seth rode his own horse for the first time. He has been twice before, with me. Both times he fell asleep. I was a little nervous, but he did great. His horse got spooked once, and he just hung on all chilled out :0) Amanda & her friends rode, too. They were freakin' out over every noise the horse made--I told them to take some pointers from the 5 year old on how to relax & enjoy the ride. :o)

Pray For the Chapman Family

Please pray for the Chapman family. Their youngest daughter was killed after being hit by a car driven by her older brother. I can not imagine the emotions going on in this family.

I can only wonder what is God's plan.

How Much Does A Hamster Cost?

Well when it gets stuck in your air vent & dies, and you have to call someone to come clean the duct work it's a whopping $650.00.
